For SystmOnline Access users, a number of pre-bookable appointments are available and can be made up to 4 weeks in advance.
In order to make the right appointment, the Receptionist may need to ask about the nature of your problem. We would be grateful if you could try and provide this information so they can direct you to the most appropriate clinician. All staff are bound by strict confidentiality rules.
Telephone Consultations
Not all problems need a surgery appointment and some can be dealt with over the phone. Phone consultations are booked in the same way as face-to-face appointments and a doctor or nurse will ring you back.
- Please make sure we have your most up-to-date telephone number
Home Visits
Home visits are for serious illnesses and for people who are housebound because of illness or disability. If you are able to get to the surgery, please try and do so, but if a home visit is necessary, please phone the surgery between 8:00 & 10:00am on 01937 585669, as this helps the Paramedic plan their rounds. Please give the Receptionists a brief description of the problem, the Paramedic will then have an idea of the urgency of the call.
A doctor or nurse may call you back, as it maybe that the problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
Please bear in mind that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

Chaperones
The Surgery is committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed at all times and the safety of everyone is of paramount importance.
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel one is required. Although you can request that a family member or friend is present in your consultation, they will NOT be performing the role of a chaperone. On occasion you may prefer a formal chaperone to be present i.e. a trained member of staff.
Wherever possible, we would ask you to make this request at the time of booking your appointment so that arrangements can be made and your appointment is not delayed in any way. Where this is not possible, we will endeavour to provide a formal chaperone at the time of request. However, occasionally it may be necessary to re-schedule your appointment.
Your doctor or nurse may also request a chaperone to be present for certain consultations or examinations
